Our Policy
There is no contract between the Yatra of Himalayas and the client until the company has received the initial deposit amount per person as specified for each tour package. The full payment must be received in accordance with the procedures laid down under payment terms. If not paid in that time, the company reserves the right to cancel the booking with consequent loss of deposit and apply a scale of cancellation charges as mentioned in the cancellation policy.
The company reserves the right to terminate the contract after accepting the deposit but before the commencement of the tour without assigning any reason. In such an event, Yatra of Himalayas will refund the initial deposit amount without paying any interest.
The company may amend, alter, vary, or withdraw any tour, holiday, excursion, or facility advertised or published. It may also substitute an independent contractor of a similar class if necessary. In either case, Yatra of Himalayas shall not be liable for any damage, additional expense, or consequential loss suffered by the clients.
Any loss arising from the cancellation of flight, train, or bus tickets booked by the clients—whether through Yatra of Himalayas, independently, or via a third party—shall not be the responsibility of Yatra of Himalayas.
No person other than Yatra of Himalayas, in writing, has the authority to vary, add, amplify, or waive any stipulation, representation, term, or condition in this brochure.
If Yatra of Himalayas exercises its rights to amend or alter any services in the itinerary after a tour or holiday has been booked, the client shall have the right:
To continue with the amended or altered tour or holiday.
To accept an alternative tour or holiday offered by the company.
In either case, the client shall not be entitled to compensation for any damage, additional expense, or consequential loss suffered, nor will the company be liable to pay any refund.
If the client wishes to amend or cancel their booking for any reason, including death, accident, illness, or personal reasons such as non-payment of the balance amount, the company is entitled to recover cancellation charges. All cancellations must be communicated in writing, and the advance amount is non-refundable. In addition to the forfeiture of the deposit, further cancellation charges will apply as follows:
25% cancellation of the package cost after confirmation or issuance of the hotel voucher.
30 days prior to departure, the advance amount is non-refundable and will be charged.
29 to 15 days prior to departure, 50% of the total tour cost will be charged.
14 to 08 days prior to departure, 75% of the total tour cost will be charged.
07 to 01 days prior to departure, 100% of the total tour cost will be charged.
No refunds will be provided for no-shows.
Any amendments to the original booking must be communicated in writing. Changes will only be processed after the company receives the request. However, if any amendments result in the cancellation of one or more services, cancellation charges will apply as per the above-mentioned policy.
The following terms and conditions apply; however, regional circumstances, regulations, contractual obligations, and factors related to the location, tour type, and service logistics may cause slight variations. These amendments and alterations are outlined in the Terms and Conditions section and should be read alongside the terms and conditions below.
Travel arrangements and prices detailed on our websites are provided and coordinated by Yatra of Himalayas.
Yatra of Himalayas takes due care to verify and check all information on its websites at the time of compilation. However, as this information is supplied by relevant accommodation and tour operators, the company accepts no responsibility for any inaccuracies or misdescriptions in its publications.
The sale of services in our publications is made by Yatra of Himalayas solely as an agent for the service providers. The standards of accommodation and other services are chosen based on various factors indicative of a certain class.
Yatra of Himalayas does not accept responsibility for any changes in prices or variations in services as shown. All services and prices are subject to change without notice.
The company is not liable for the acts, omissions, or defaults—whether negligent or otherwise—of service providers with whom it has no direct control. It does not accept liability in contract or tort for injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expenses, or inconvenience caused by unforeseen circumstances beyond its control. These include, but are not limited to, war, civil disturbances, fires, floods, severe weather, natural disasters, government actions, equipment failures, or industrial actions.
Clients should check with Yatra of Himalayas or their travel agent for any changes or updates to the information on the website. This ensures that any modifications are communicated before booking or departure.
Rates and Price Variations: We reserve the right to adjust prices in case of exchange rate fluctuations, supplier price increases, tax changes, or other factors. If service costs increase, you must pay the difference when notified, or you may cancel the booking, which may incur cancellation fees. We are not liable for any price increases. Quoted rates are subject to availability and may change without notice.
Deposits via Bank Account & Credit Card: Tour package bookings within 45 days require full payment at the time of confirmation. Payments will be automatically debited from the provided credit card or can be transferred directly to our bank account. Bookings not deposited within this time will be automatically canceled. Deposit conditions for specific accommodations and tour packages may vary and will be communicated in writing. Bookings during the Christmas and New Year festive season require a non-refundable deposit of ₹3,000–₹5,000, with final payment due 60 days before departure.
Final Payment: The final payment must be made 30 days before the travel date. No vouchers will be issued until payment is received in our office or bank account. Conditions for specific packages may vary and will be communicated at the time of booking. Final payment may differ from the initial quoted price due to exchange rate fluctuations or supplier price increases.
Card Fees: A processing fee applies to credit card payments:
3% for MasterCard, Visa, and Debit Card transactions above ₹2,000
2% for transactions below ₹2,000
2% for net banking transactions
This fee covers processing costs, security measures, fraud prevention, and administrative expenses.
Cheque Payments: Accepted only for bookings with travel dates more than 50 days away. Payments via cheque or direct deposit do not incur additional fees.
Payment Processing Terms & Conditions: By providing your credit card details and accepting our terms, you authorize Yatra of Himalayas to debit funds from your nominated credit card as per the Direct Debit Request Service Agreement. Your bank or credit card provider may apply currency conversion fees. Credit cards are required to secure bookings for travel within 14 days.
Cancellations within 7 days of travel: 100% of the package cost will be charged.
Cancellations 8 to 14 days before travel: 75% of the total package cost will be charged.
Cancellations 14 to 29 days before travel: 50% of the total package cost will be charged.
Cancellations 30 days before travel: The advance amount is non-refundable and will be forfeited.
Cancellation process: All cancellations must be in writing and addressed to the consultant handling the booking.
Consultant assistance: A Travel Consultant will assist you wherever possible within these terms and conditions.
- Validity of Rates: Prices are valid for the specified dates.
- Currency: All rates are quoted in Indian National Rupees (INR) unless stated otherwise.
- Children’s Rates: Child rates apply when sharing a room with adults and using existing bedding. Additional bedding costs are available upon request.
- Payment Options: Yatra of Himalayas offers a secure server for credit card payments. Payments can also be made via fax, cheque, or direct deposit. A 50% deposit is required to confirm services.
- Accommodation: Prices are in INR unless specified. Alternative accommodations of similar standards may be provided if overbooked or unavailable. Rates are subject to change without notice. Availability is confirmed after booking requests are received.
- Check-In/Check-Out: Generally, check-in is at 12:00 Noon, and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Valid ID proof is required at check-in. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may incur additional charges.
- Single Supplement Costs: Available upon request if not already specified in the accommodation cost.
- Group and Incentive Travel: Group and conference rates have different terms from standard holidays. Ensure specific conditions are understood before booking. Hotel room images may not reflect the exact room allocated. Maps are for general reference and not to scale.
- Quotations: Quotes depend on service availability and are not guaranteed until confirmed with a deposit. They are valid for 48 hours from issuance.
Prices DO Include:
A detailed schedule and services will be sent via email or courier.
Prices DO NOT Include:
Any costs incurred while traveling to and from the destination.
Meals (unless specified), alcoholic beverages, and telephone calls.
Personal expenses and services not explicitly mentioned in the package, including monument park charges.
Additional personal use of the vehicle and extra sightseeing beyond the specified itinerary.
Any incidental expenses not outlined in the provided itinerary.
Copyright & Intellectual Property
Ownership: All original artwork, maps, navigation elements, presentation methods, and design elements on the Yatra of Himalayas website are exclusively owned by Yatra of Himalayas. The copyright for all descriptive text and selected photographic images also belongs to Yatra of Himalayas.
Photographic Images: Reproduced with permission from Yatra of Himalayas, its product/service providers, or as required to meet copyright obligations.
Joint Copyright: When joint ownership exists over text or images, Yatra of Himalayas reserves the right to enforce copyright protections on behalf of the primary copyright holder. If third-party images are used under license, Yatra of Himalayas will actively protect these copyrights.
HTML Files & Software: All HTML files on Yatra of Himalayas’ website are proprietary software products developed exclusively for its use and are protected under international intellectual property conventions.
Custom Graphics: Declared as original works of art created solely for Yatra of Himalayas and are subject to international intellectual property laws. No image files, HTML documents, or text files may be copied or used commercially without written permission.
Legal Registration: Yatra of Himalayas, operating under its subsidiary business names, is registered with the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Corporation and Regional Tourism Authorities, granting it the right to use images provided for tourism promotion.
Legal Jurisdiction & Agreement
Jurisdiction: Any complaints, suits, claims, or disputes related to tours, services, or third-party products will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals in India.

Binding Agreement: Upon booking, these terms and conditions become legally binding on both the company (Yatra of Himalayas) and the guest, overriding any previous verbal or written communications.
Acknowledgment: By proceeding with the booking, the guest confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions on behalf of all persons listed in the booking.
